Performance Upgrades
Hercules are the holders of UK and FAA Type Certificates for a range of wooden fixed pitch propellers for fitment to D.H.82 Tiger Moth, Piper Cub and Stinson 108 aircraft.
These have proven to be very popular and we have manufactured & shipped many examples to customers all over the globe.
Two designs are available for fitment to D.H.82 Tiger Moth aircraft with Gypsy Major 1 Series engines. The DH5220/H/HP is a faithful reproduction of the aerodynamic profile of the DeHavilland DH5220/H propeller that gives a good balance between climb and cruise performance. The LA604/HP is based on the profile of the Lang LA604 propeller that was originally offered as an aftermarket option during the 1930’s.
Hercules have developed 4 bespoke designs of propeller for fitment to Piper Cub and Stinson 108 aircraft. The designs have been tailored to suit the operational characteristics of the aircraft /engine combinations with input from our customers and aircraft owners’ clubs.
